Do you ever find your self looking at ordering shit you know you have no business ordering. Well we will see how this goes, it might just be the straw that broke the camel's back, or it is going to be a ton of fun, or both.

Definitely gonna be a different animal if you have been driving it stock all of these years...

Wow!! You needed pads and rotors and wound up buying this? Hahaha

I look forward to seeing the install and hearing how it performs after.

So was trailering Lou home from a friends house when I needed to stand on the break pedal to avoid a mouth breather. Come to find out my front driver side caliper was seized up and I ended up blowing out a rusty rear line. So the old girl got some love this weekend and is back into fighting shape now.

How many miles does the old girl have on her now? 700,000?
Just a little over 770K now but in a couple weeks my brother is headed to Washington, Texas, South Carolina, and Maine with it. Cross your fingers she is in store for one hell of a brutal trip pulling his 5th wheel.

I hope she makes it!

After the big girl's trip around the country with my brother she has had a ton of relaxing time this summer. I fired her up the other day to grab some supplies from Tractor Supply and as I was driving there she was extremely sluggish and had no get up and go, I thought that maybe it was time for another trans, so we limped home to investigate. come to find out she sucked most of a red spuirrel nest through her air breather, and stuffed up the cold side of the turbo. What a F-ing mess !!!! In the middle of dealing with cleaning out the intake and getting a new air filter I left the key on and after 9 years of use the batteries said "No Thanks" So after several hours of F-ing around and 450 dollars in batteries she is back to her old self again.

As a preventative measure I did cover the airbox intake hole with hardware cloth and lit the little bastard up that caused this mess to start with.

After 19 years of dedicated service my power steering cap decided to jump off its spot which is strange as I have not touched it in probably 4 years. Was running the shit out of her on some back roads last night on my way to a rifle shoot for my kids got to the range and notice fluid dripping. never had a undisturbed cap remove its self before, have you????

Squirrels are like the hellhounds in the movie “Hellboy”. If you kill one, two are born.

I had a similar problem, different solution for SQUIRREL JIHAD !!!
PCP air gun.

Well it has been a minute since I made a truck payment and this weekend seamed to be as good of a time as any to tackle some more worn out parts in the old girl. The U-joints in the front axle were over do for a while now and the passenger side break caliper has been seized up for around a year now. So Saturday Morning the Little Man and I got her backed in the garage and started tearing it down, we replaced both u-joints, both calipers and the breaks, we got started around 8am and buy around 1:30pm we were taking a trip back to the parts store to get our core charges back. Much to my surprise we found in there computer, I had "lifetime warranty" on all these parts so other than the time and busted knuckles this adventure did not cost me shit. I know I had replaced all of these at least once or twice over the past 20 years but did not realize all of them were covered. She has just a little under 900k on her now and when the garage is done she will be seeing a lot more loving as most of her body is rotting off slowly.
