If you find yourself in the Manistee area, looking for a place to sit down and eat. Maybe you’re pulling and want a generous parking lot, there is a new Mexican restaurant, “El Toros” on 55, a couple miles east of town. Sign bills it as Latin Cuisine.
Real Mexican food, served by real Mexicans!
The menu has a side of chunked avocado that was awesome on the tacos! I would swear the rellenos was made fresh, not frozen, and was not swimming in rancheros sauce to hide the freezer burn.
I give the place an 7 out of 10. If they had peas and carrots in the Spanish rice they would be a solid 8.
They are new, trying to make a good impression so get there before they get settled in.

Well, I either caught my sons cold, or I caught my bosses covid.... Either way, I feel like absolute dig shit....

Son started having a tickle in his throat and running nose over the weekend, boss started having covid symptoms late Monday. I started feeling a scratchy throat Tuesday and Wednesday, then last night I went downhill. Woke up this morning feeling like crap.

That sucks for sure. Hopefully it's just a cold and be gone in a few days.

My grandson and daughter seem to be catching colds quite regularly. We went for a visit to BC for a visit a few weeks ago. Nobody was sick while we were there but they were just getting over one. My daughter takes all kinds of vitamins, morning and night. Eats healthy and goes to the gym. Seems to be living a healthy lifestyle.

One thing my wife and I noticed they never seem to wash their hands. Before cooking or during making meals. Grandson wanted to help make dinner and I said you need to wash your hands first. He agreed and I helped him scrub up and we made dinner.
On outings around town and to a restaurant for a lunch and everybody just dove right in and started eating. My wife and I went to the restroom and washed our hands first.
Noticing that how they don't wash their hands after being out in public and touching things that other people have had their hands on, I now figured out how they are always getting sick. Not enough hand washing.
One thing my wife said that after covid you'd think people would have learned to wash their hands more often.
People take their shoes off at the door when entering the house because of things we step on. Same thing for hand washing after people get in from being outside in public places touching things that some people who are sick touch. Door handles, key pads at the bank machine etc.
I rarely get sick, maybe once a year. With kids in the house I can see how they bring bugs home because of them being in contact with other kids.
Get feeling better. I hate getting sick.

Well, they're exposed to every germ known to man, so they probably won't get sick when they are older....

I tested positive for covid. Fuck do I feel like shit... My doctor called in paxlovid, I don't know if I should take it. It looks like it can have a lot of side effects.

Good point there. Kids are always touching dirty stuff then sticking their hands in their mouth.
My nephew went through Marine Corp boot camp and other training for days on end with no running water. They were told do not touch your face with your hands. He said they were really strict on that.
I caught covid after getting the jab and yes it sucked. I felt like crap for a solid week. I did drink airborne tablets morning and night. It did seem to help. Plenty of water too.
Pray you get feeling better really soon.

I have had it twice "buck up" and what ever you do don't just lay around and weight to die keep moving even if it is slower than normal. Take breaks as needed but keep moving.

Trying, but I can tell I am much weaker than normal. I have been hunkered down in the bunker (finished basement) and I noticed my legs are sore when I climb to the top of the stairs. Hopefully that is temporary...

My wife is also 8 months pregnant, so I am praying she doesn't catch this.

Hope you get better quick! I pretty much always get a cold this time of the fall, and I did this year as usual. Nothing horrendous, typical sore throat, drainage, and sometimes cough. Worst is morning when it's all built up from overnight. I took a covid test early on to be safe and it was negative. Problem is, I had it for a solid week, then got quite a bit better, then surged up again, then a bit better, then back again, and so on. Never anything severe, but quite annoying at times and has been going that way for nearly 4 weeks with the cycling up and down. If it doesn't finally go away quickly I'll definitely be heading to the doctor.

I know you tested, but it sure sounds like covid, especially with the waves of good and bad.... I am going through that now. Felt pretty good yesterday afternoon, then came the evening and I was back to feeling like death...

I tested positive for covid Monday, and was required to stay away from work for 5 days. I have no energy, but I feel like that is because I've been sitting around doing nothing. When I do get up and around I feel better.
I hope you feel better dude! My work wants me back in the office Monday, I don't know if I will be ready. Hopefully the weekend helps us both. I'm going to sit in the sun and soak up some vitamin D today...
