Talked to my grandson today on the phone (never thought I would get to say that!) and , for lack of a better word, daughter-in-law's mom.... Her daughter is ok with seeing us, and is wondering if it's ok if she changes Samuel's last name to ours..... That took my breath away. I couldn't have hoped for better. My son's girlfriend and I got along well, she was confused when I didn't answer her message when James passed away.... I was not in a good state of mind and kind of had to lock away that part of my mind so I could function. We are all going to get together this week and get caught up.

I loved my job!
I would wade in amongst the bastards and say “dear god, give me the strength to make it to retirement”.
And now, I never have to take “the pack test” again.
I’ve been retired twelve years, fourteen more and I have collected as many years as I put in.

Go management. It’s better to be the leader of fools than the follower of one.

We have been pretty busy here...seems everyone is in a last minute rush to have something done before the end of the year...

 

Sooo....

Plow truck overheated and popped the radiator a couple weeks ago. Replaced, made another trip to the old house, started running hot again. Water pump leaking. Replaced pump, made another trip, got a couple miles from home on the way back and heat spikes again. Replaced thermostat. Let the truck idle in the driveway for a half hour, took it for a drive, got about a mile from home and head gasket blows.

It's nice to know that my typical luck is still around... :teehee:

 

I guess they knew just the right time to quit driving it when it got parked.

 

You get what you pay for.

 

I've spent more and gotten less.
