Maybe those with 8724's have a problem because that's the wrong code. It's 8274, not 8724. :poke: My 8274 is older than most on this board and still pulling strong. It's also one of the fastest winches out there, has room for more cable/rope, plus easy access for additional in-cab wiring and solenoids.

I realize it is harder to package and super expensive to buy new but I think it's still one of the best ever designs.
That's right, I saw him use it the same day he pulled me out of 3 foot deep snow.

How much were the aluminum links?

Back in December I took the buggy to twisted. Roads were salted heavy. On the way home I stopped at the car wash a couple miles from home. But is was like 5 degrees out and water froze almost instantly on the buggy.

Well the salt did a number on my electrical. While everything still worked. After a thorough inspection that wouldn't of been the case for long.

So tearing it all apart to redo it.

Ordered new gauges and also ordered a new winch. Gonna mount the warn in the rear.

Mine is older than I am, that says enough on its own :sonicjay:
But you only wheel twice a year Brandon..lol. I hate those old non working gutless wonder 8274 piece of dried up dog turds..lmao!
