On paper its a good combo, but in the real world the c6, 205, 5:38's and 40's isn't ideal.
My old buggy could have used some more power, but in reality it ran awesome with the 3:1 atlas.

Minus all the extra weight of the big tires, heavy axles, power robbing trans....

You can't go any deeper than a 5.38 in a 14B and that combo is about as good of a bulletproof ford combo as you can get unless I missed something  Put an engine with some sack in or stay in low range :thumb: Once you twin stick, you'll be in 2low all the time anyway.

I am gonna redo all the lines and warranty my front calipers. I had a aftermarket booster/master combo from Summit. The master was bad, I got a 96 f250 Master and modified it to fit the booster which gave me some braking back. When I installed all the nylon lines I overtightened the compression fittings, so I replaced all those. But I also had to get an adapter for my rear calipers and retap my fronts. I think the adpaters and the rethreaded front ports are what is giving me the issues.

Automasters selection sucks. Guess I'll be ordering online.

I contacted the company that makes the master cyl. on Friday. They have in big logos 24/7 tech support on their site but only a link to open a tech ticket with them no phone number. So I opened a ticket. I have yet to hear from them :sonicjay:.

Can you go with a hydroboost and a 1 ton master cylinder with a 1 1/8 bore?

That's what I'm running on mine with 3/4 ton calipers so I can run 15" wheels.

And it'll lock up 40's on blacktop with a 5400 lb rig on top

I like my plastic brake lines. $30 plumbs the whole thing. Rip a line on the trail and it can be fixed in 10 minutes.
what MC do you have? You have to watch the pressure ratings with assisted or boosted MCs

I am running the same calipers and brakes as what I was prior. I am now also running the same master cyl as before. The booster and lines are whats different on this rig. I dont feel its a booster issue. Only leaves one option. Again I think its the threads at the calipers giving me the issues.

Bore of the new master is 1.125 (or same as my old one).
