Think I figured out a solution to my fuel pump...

got my tank

And I think I am gonna modify it to accept a 98 Explorer 5.0L sender.....

Sender has a flat mount

And it will sit 1/8" from the bottom of the cell.

I'm sure it wont matter in a buggy, but I just took my jeep for a ride after putting the pump in the tank, with the tank in the cab. Suck. Noisy as hell.

Thats what I had, but this time my axle is gonna have a full truss so mounting will have to be a little different. I am not 100% for sure what I am going to do. I got alot to do before I get to that point and need to decide.

single ended rams aint the best setup, but mine has been abused for many years, and always works. i can turn locked 42's with my pinky. the only difference is mine is mounted above and behind the axle, to hopefully protect it a little better. it has a rear facing steering arm on the passenger side.
aluminum tie rod in front running side to side. all heims, no tie rodes.

Opinion on firewall floorboards.....aluminum 3/8" 1/8" 3/16" 1/16 thicknesses and the difference between 6061 and 3003 aluminium is?

3003 will bend, 5052 will bend better and is a little stronger than 3003, 6061 isn't going to bend very well, more straight panel stuff.

Worked on the upper rear link mounts today....welded in some pieces of 3/8".

And I think this might be where I place the rear axle in the chassis, I lifted the chassis to where I want it to sit at ride height. I have just about 22" from the ground to the bottom of the chassis. With the rear axle there I should be real close to 36" long upper links.

Actually its the same size as the gas tank I was previously using, and I haven't run out of gas in quite a while :finger: Kyle has had more issues then I have as of late :teehee:. I don't think I ever ran out of gas int he eb, truggy yeah.
