Well, thought I start my post for the XJ build. You may know me and my MJ but had to get rid of her for the XJ. More room for the kids. But Not looking back for now. So the low down is I kept my 33x9.5 tires and the heart of MiNi Beast. my 8.8 410LSD disks, so thats going under the XJ replacing the 8.25, mounting the 1 1/2" UBE and 4.5 RE springs. Front is getting 6.5" springs with the RK 3 link LA set up. The XJ is 2wd, but already has 4wd conversion started less the tranny and tcase. Which I have a AX-15/231 combo waiting to go in after the lift.
So my very first Jeep...89' Wagoneer
Then my MJ, bought for $100 down in FL and drove back to MI...

Shocks on front now!

Well picked up some used shocks from MidMichxj, great guy there, but yeah so I cleaned them up some and got them on the jeep tonight. Ride is a lot better of course, now I don't have to worry to much about the DW, so I can take the highway again:woot: This be only temp until I get the steering made up and maybe I can hold out now to get me some piggyback shocks that I been looking at.

hitch I picked up and got on.

Just something to pull my trailer with and a tow point. Got it free from JEEPR which the receiver was rusted in drop side up so cut it off and had buddy tig weld it the right side down for me. Worked out pretty good.

Those pics were from JEEPR, the before pics.

Buddies and I went out on Sat

Buddy got stuck but nothing to bad just was going a little slow when he dropped in the hole. But it was a good time, my jeep rode good. No complaints but look forward to the different set of shocks I'm getting next week. Not to many of me being a quick run and I still got that weak steering yet.

yeah a little longerbut nothing to measure and it has a wider mouth on it for better degrees on the driveshaft angle. But I got it because didn't think my
2wd slipyoke would work in my 231 tc I'm trying to swap in but it works and is same lenghth as the yj one is, so yeah now have extra one, oh well.

As you can see 2wd DS and a 4wd DS and the yj yoke in upper right hand corner.

ahhhh.. for future reference.. Flairs are easy a shit so 90% of the time even a retard can do it right with a decent flairing tool.. and when u do em just reef the shit outa them tightening down it down make the flair seat even when its not perfect

Well thus far it's great. haven't had to many chanses to really flex her out, but she hasn't failed me yet. Rides great on the highway, smooth even at 95mph. Just need to replace that stock steering.

Well driveshaft is getting cut down and rewelded for proper length, Sweetness! Have it by noon tomorrow. I'm having it done up a Cooper Machine and Welding Incorporated in Muskegon, MI. (616) 773- 5400 Good guy there, was booked up and leaving early tomorrow but said he be sure to have it done for me by noon. Post pics of it once I get it installed.

Well got my drive shaft back, :woot: no vibes:thumb: Cost me $120; cut down, rewelded, new joints and swaped out my 8.8 flange for me. Great guy, recommand him for your driveshaft needs.

Before: XJ 6.5" Lift with stock 4wd Driveshaft and XJ 2wd yoke (longer).

After: XJ 6.5" lift with 2wd driveshaft cut down and with a YJ yoke.
