My cat might be kinda old, But I would bet he can kick most other cats ass.

Update: September 2014
The cat that started this thread is not longer with us.

Great pictures - cell phone or game camera?
Cell phone, through dirty windows.
there was a fox living under my shed. She had four kits.
they were pretty shy, but cute and entertaining when they were out playing.

Great pics of the wildlife!

Haven’t posted in a while. Re the campground talk, it is really hard to find good campsites in MI and I don’t have any good suggestions. National Forest sites are great but since you can’t make reservations, it’s a crap shoot.
We made the investment 15 years ago in 10 acres of woods outside of Harrison. It’s been a blessing to be able to go whenever we want and rustic camp. We cut wood, burn wood, shoot guns and play horseshoes.

A year ago we added Lake MI shoreline in the UP to our getaway locations.

What specifically was it doing that you didn't like? Been a while since I drove a stock 68RFE but I'd heard the shifts are pretty sluggish. My truck came with a beefed up trans, it has a lower stall billet triple disc converter and shifts very aggressively. Damn thing won't slip or build heat even when I feel like it should have! It's much more aggressive than my old 48RE that had a billet single disc and a shift kit. Not the best for comfort, but I love it for longevity. I hope they went as far as putting billet shafts throughout, but I don't know. The converter is also undamped so gets pretty noisy at lower speeds, but damn does it grip when it needs to!

It does a weird slide/bump thing into gear, supposedly to try to save the trans.

Aftermarket tuning will sometimes lock the converter during shifts to mask it, but I'm never a fan of that as a solution to a hydraulic circuit problem.

So, now, it just shifts like normal, click, click, click not ------ click----------////////////click

I drove four trucks before I bought this one and they all did it, so I at least knew this one wasn't failing, just weird lol.

That sucks for sure. Pray you heal up quickly so you can get back to projects.
Thanks! Still have tractor work to do moving dirt, which isn't the easiest one handed, but it's better than not being able to work on anything. I've had my wife out helping me the last few days. Last night she finished hand digging the final location of the barn septic tank so hopefully I'll get that placed this week and can get the drainfield plumbing installed this weekend. I have to remove a bunch of dirt where the garage is going, and I'm going to use it to cover the drain field.

Glad you’re still able to get at things. She’s a great wife if she will hand dig for ya. She’s a keeper😎👍
