We had that huge hailstorm in Howell last year. Several claims that I am aware of were well over $100k. The insurance companies are definitely going to pass a cost increase on to us. Mine didn’t change much more than usual, but my renewal was in October.

Yep, I know a ton of people near me who got "free" roofs out of the deal along with some windows, siding, etc. Hell, even I got a camper fridge covered because the storm with the big tornado caused a power surge/outage that fried mine. Insurance companies aren't going to eat that, they'll just adjust everyone's rates accordingly.

 

Yeah and there have been more tornadoes this year than any year I can remember

I was just in Florida, my in laws sold their cottage and want to relocate north.

Anyway, elderly neighbor told us about how his insurance made him replace his roof in spite of two separate companies stating in writing he did not need a roof for at least 8 years.

Get a roof or we'll drop you. He was paying about 9k a year in premiums. Alot of folks in the neighborhood are uninsured, because it makes more sense to save some money and sit on it a tthose prices.

 

Everyone gonna get ur money. They will change rules and regulations to make sure they get it. Insurance companies are crooks. Wether it be health home or auto. They take ur premiums and you fight tooth and nail to get em to pay out

Went to some dealerships over the weekend, we were the only customers at all 3.

Went to Fox Ford today in GR and they had at least a dozen 2023 Bronco's stacked up.

IHS projections are not looking wonderful for the industry.

 

Interest rates are too high and residuals too low for most people to "trade up" right now. So the only people buying have cash in hand or are desperate. I think 2024 will be the year of the Mitsubishi Mirage and strip model Maverick.

All the 23 Bronco's were 5k off MSRP.

We looked at a Gladiator Mojave that was marked down 10k before we even spoke to them.

Demand has cooled because of rates, economics playing out right in front of us lol.

 

One coworker in my group bought a new Gladiator Mojave a few months ago, another just put a deposit on a Ranger Raptor that's on order. And the premium high 5-figure to low 6-figure GM trucks we provide parts for are running close to forecasted volumes, so I guess it's not all bad. And I may or may not now have Kickstand sitting across from me at the office reporting up to me🤯😂
