Greg Henderson @ Unofficial Use Only is an example... damn daycare shook the shit out if his kid. Liam is lucky he's alive. I don't want to scare you, but it does happen. If you get a bad vibe at a place move on. We passed on an in home care for our daughter and when my wife called her to tell her we were going elsewhere she flipped out and snapped at us. So happy to have dodged that bullet.

My friend in Minneapolis pays $1800/month for one child.

We have always been around the $1000/month mark. Now that my daughter is in pre-care at a public school it's like $800 or so. That said, I don't think she gets near the attention/discipline/etc that she got in private care.
I bust my ass at work so my wife can stay home with our little guy. The last two weeks I worked 115 hours, 35 was OT just so we don’t have to deal with shit like that. When I am off in the mornings I take him to a program in Ontario called Ontario Early Years. It’s a drop in program. They have different times for different ages, snacks at 10:30, every Wednesday is piano with miss Emily. It’s at numerous schools in our cities, both catholic and public.

That is why our kids are 4.5 years apart. I couldn't afford two in daycare at once, my boy does pre and after care, but its like $12 through his school, and his sister is with him.

Had I not got the job I have when I did, we may not have had kids at all.
I'm already 36, so I don't want to have another child when I'm 40 years old. Sadly, we started late.

Unfortunately I'm salary and travel a lot. I have work weeks that are sometimes 60-80 hours, but much of it is travel or idle time, and I'm in a different state. I've been trying to figure out a side hustle, but my schedule just screws it all up.

My wife says she would love to stay home, but I know she's lying. She will always work at least part time. Currently she runs her section, I don't see her giving that up as much as she bitches about it :sonicjay:

Holy shit! I think that would be one of those times where you'd see a guy just hang on for the sake of hanging on.

Man I feel for you because no one should have to go through a divorce. My wife and I are firm believers in "till death do us part."

I was too, but she just didn't die <a href="http://www.greatlakes4x4.com/images/smilies/frown.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Frown" >:)</a>

So crappy 3.5 year long divorce it was.
Sorry about the divorce, but that's funny.

It sucked, it was expensive, but I didn't realize how much better things should be in my life until It was over.

Much better off now, happy, dont want to walk in front of a garbage truck everyday, you know, how you're supposed to be.

As of 2 weeks ago, I just celebrated my 5 year anniversary at my current employer, but before that I worked for a horrible horrible man. I was dreading every day and fighting off the urge to drive my one ton through the office. I lost around 100K in a pension plan buy leaving before, I was vested but it has been worth every penny. Life is too short to be miserable all the time. :woot:

I understand. Money means nothing if you're miserable.
