My cat might be kinda old, But I would bet he can kick most other cats ass.

Update: September 2014
The cat that started this thread is not longer with us.

The conversation started when the A/C popped and we had to drive with the windows down. I just got the exhaust fixed on her PT, so that's the only car we have with working A/C right now. I told her I would rather rebuild the engine in the plow truck than spend $50k on a new truck.

New trucks are nice- too nice. I would never feel comfortable using one to do 'truck things'. Add to that the fact of $50k only getting a 1/2 ton, $80k for a 3/4 ton- just too much money.
I go the certified used route. 30-35k is tolerable to me, 50k+ is not. I'm very happy with my GM certified used 2013 GMC Sierra.

I looked at those, with the current incentives new is about $10k more.

I'm just keeping the Charger, trading it would just about pay it off. Only 2 years to go. I'll rebuild the 350 in the plow truck or stick a crate motor in there if the knock gets worse.

Really wishing I had bought the neighbor's 02 F150 for $700 now. :teehee:

with close to 10K in rebates that puts this thing at around half of that 80 mark with a 4x4 diesel one ton. :poke:

I bought my 2012 F150 in 2015. It’s a fully loaded FX4 appearance package truck. Window sticker was $58k Canadian. I paid $35k, there’s no way I could afford the $58k price and there’s no way I could afford a 2019 truck that’s packaged the same as this one is.

If you guys are paying that much for junk that old and using it as your commuter vehicle while not earning money specifically for hauling with it each way, you are your own reason they cost so much. Ya'll deserve the idiot tax the dealers are bending you over for.
Please share examples of obtainable new prices.

I am cheap , try not to pay full value for anything. :finger:
That being said, I plan on going to Texas later this year to buy a truck. I want another diesel. Probably cost me close to 20k for a 7 year old truck with ~150,000 miles on it.... :poke:

I think you missed the point of my post.
You determine the price. Quit buying at ridiculous prices and the prices come down.

You are correct. Went right over my head. lol

It bugs the piss out of me when I know people who over pay. It always reminds me of the early 00's when GM was ballsy enough to print that they made 25k profit on every escalade they sold. Wow, people who bought those made a great investment...…...

Still looking for an open seat from Manistee to S/E Michigan.

Don’t want to sober up to go home? I’ll drive.
Tank empty? I’ll fill ‘er up.
Got two cars and want to ride home with the wife? I’ll meet you there.
Not enough money in you wallet? That too is negotiable...
Wish I had one for ya buddy. I don't really venture to the west side of the state.

My truck was 23k in 2017, I don't think that's unreasonable for a 4 year old
one owner truck with no accidents, a certified warranty, and in exceptional condition.

You can be as cheap as you want... Some of us like nice things and are willing to pay for them. :poke:

Edit: I also find it hilarious that you make a comment like that when you live in a country where the US dollar is equal to 42 Argentine pesos.

There is nothing more exhilarating than sitting out under the stars all alone enjoy the peace and quiet, only the crackle of the fire in the chimnea, then have a possum walk by behind you and brush against your lawnchair.

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD! It felt like a grizzly bear.
I was hold back a full bladder, but that quickly became the least of my worries.

Earlier I told my bride I was disappointed that with all the wildlife we have, I hadn’t seen a possum.
And glad we have not seen any racoon.
The little prick let me know he was listening.

I hear they like strawberries, I might try and leave him some.

Had that years ago while tent camping in the Smoky Mountains with a buddy, only for me it was a skunk. I was roasting a hot dog on a stick while sitting on a little camp stool. Fucking skunk literally stood on it's hind legs and sniffed up onto my waist while I sat dead still while burning my hot dog. :sonicjay:
