Anyone coming up for the Cherry Fest? Good times...Thunderbirds are here all weekend. Practicing right now.
I wish! I’m jumping through my ass trying to find a ride from Manistee to Memphis. (modified plan D.2(c)) had a flaw

We have tickets to Styx though!

Wife is trying to talk me into buying a new truck since the A/C broke on the Charger. Not totally opposed to the idea, just not comfortable with a vehicle that costs 50% of what i paid for my house :teehee:
Not to mention the insurance with your wifes driving record...

No kidding! Why buy something pricey guaranteed to be wrecked?
Get her a Sonic or some other shitbox.
She's happy with the PT Cruiser. She can't drive a truck, no interest in driving a truck. Since we moved, she has no interest in driving anywhere. She just doesn't like being seen in the plow truck :teehee:

Looked at some trucks today, nothing in my price range under 100,000 miles. So, no real advantage to selling my 100,000 mile Charger to buy a 100,000 mile truck.

Yeah, especially if you just got the charger all fixed.

This.
You know what you got. Or “welcome to the world of surprises” driving a great deal until you find out why they sold it.
I’m sick of driving used cars, but I can’t stand the new ones.

Still looking for an empty seat from manistee to Memphis.
Offering up tickets to Styx tomorrow. Can’t go, can’t walk.

The conversation started when the A/C popped and we had to drive with the windows down. I just got the exhaust fixed on her PT, so that's the only car we have with working A/C right now. I told her I would rather rebuild the engine in the plow truck than spend $50k on a new truck.

New trucks are nice- too nice. I would never feel comfortable using one to do 'truck things'. Add to that the fact of $50k only getting a 1/2 ton, $80k for a 3/4 ton- just too much money.
