Just read an article AMG is making a 416HP 2.0 turbo four cylinder. That is some crazy shit to put in a production car and expect reliability.
I had a 71 ford capri given to me for a job I did for a cabinet guy. Did a few installs. It had the 2000cc cast iron 4 banger with a really radical lumpy cam.
I found a header for it and pulled the head, shaved it down as much as the machinist said we could go and did a valve grind. This little car moved out great to about 80. I could keep up to stock v8's to about that, then they would pull away. It was a lot of fun to drive. My wife hated when I would fire it up in the carport. The windows would rattled from what I was told.

In a Ford, GM or FCA car, no- it wouldn't last. Not due to quality issues as much as low end performance cars tend to be beat on more. Not as many people thrash AMG Benzes.
Not to mention that Mercedes service intervals are crazy...

I've always wanted to run a test.

Take like, a Nissan Versa or Chevy Spark. Garage it, climate controlled. Service every recommended interval with the best fluids, etc etc. Treat it like a Benz.

Then take a BMW, or whatever fine automobile, and treat it like it's the trailer park. Drive dirt roads, never wash it, outside 365, change the oil a month or two after the light goes on, never have more than 1/4 tank of 87 in it at a time.

And see which one lasts longer lol.

You LOL, but I truly believe that Mercedes and BMW "last long" because of the insane (IMO) service requirements. I bet they would have issues just like any other vehicle if they were beaten on / neglected.

That's the result I expect to see as well.

I believe owners of premium brands are far more likely to follow all recomended procedures, as well as far less likely to strap a couch to the top, haul a camper, or any other shenanigans the "poors" get up to.

I'm willing to bet the poo car last just fine when pampered.

This is the truth. My wifes Audi Q5 has a once a year maint inspection that costs $300-$400. And it takes full syn Pentosin oil, that shit is pricey, and there is no oil dipstick of coarse.

No oil dipstick?! Are they that arrogant to think that the cars they build will never use a drop of oil? I mean, I've had plenty of vehicles that I have put over 200k on without oil consumption issues, but to not be able to check and make sure your levels are ok seems crazy to me...

No oil dipstick is becoming a more common trend. BMW has been doing it for a decade. It literally just tells you when to put a quart of oil in.
So it just adds more cost and complexity... Got it.
