Weirdest thing I've ever experienced....

Here in Webberville, if you take 43 west towards Lansing, you'll come to a road just past 52 called Dietz. Turn north on Dietz, and you'll come to a brewery in a farmhouse... It's wild. There's no sign, no indication that it's there. As a matter of fact, Dietz rd is closed to through traffic because a bridge is out even.

But it's there, and it's pretty good, and beers are only 5 bucks.
That's only about 20 min from me. I remember finding it on google maps but haven't been there. @TOPTRUK went there once, but pretty sure he was sick that day so I'm not so sure his feedback would be very positive to anywhere he was :sonicjay:

And yeah, I think I remember hearing it was the guy who ran Michigan Brewing Co into the ground.

I told my coworker when we took that turn, I swear to God if I hear banjo music... <a href="http://www.greatlakes4x4.com/images/smilies/teehee.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Spro's effiminant giggle" >:)</a>
<a href="http://www.greatlakes4x4.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif" border="0" alt="" title="laugh" >:)</a>

So the real question is, how's the beer?
Well he has about 8 kinds. I've tried American Lager and American Dark. I liked the dark, didn't care for the regular. But I don't like bitter beers as a rule.

I was ill, but still remember the place. Not your typical brewery, that's for sure. That was about 2 years ago so there may have been some updates. He owns lots of land where he grows his hops and even mentioned letting people camp there at times. Cool guy, but I remember the beer not being too cold nor did I care for the taste. I would definitely give it a second go though. After-all, it is a good location to back-road cruise a Jeep to.

What a week.

My daughter in law (for lack of an exact concise term for 'my deceased son's ex girlfriend who had his baby and was going to marry my son) had left for Arizona to be with the father of her second child. Those who have been following the saga might remember that she wigged out at Christmas when she found out her mother had let us see our grandson without her knowing.

Well, we finally got in touch with her and ironed out the issues about a month ago. Two weeks ago, she decided she was going to move back to Michigan since her boyfriend was getting abusive, not letting her leave the house, shut off her phone, etc.

Friday morning, we get a couple pictures from her, she was able to get her phone to work on the neighbor's wifi. Boyfriend found out she was leaving and beat his own head against the bathroom sink until he split the scalp open. He was rushed to the hospital.

Well, we all know how stories like this end, often a murder suicide. I sent a uber to pick her and the two boys up, put them up in a hotel in Phoenix and booked a flight out for Detroit. Picked them up at the airport and brought them home.

They are staying with us for a while, since my mother was able to go home (full recovery from the stroke)

She's going to decide whether she wants to live near us or near her mom in Southgate, as she needs to get Sammy enrolled in school in the fall. It's been a great few days with the grandkids, it's awesome to have the family back together.

Glad you made the move to get her and the kids out of that situation. I could only imagine what the kids had to go through. I bet they are happy to be with grandma and grandpa:thumb:

Wow, always something going on with you Bloo. Glad to hear that your grandson and his mother are safe and sound back here in Michigan. :thumb:

Good night Irene, I owe you some beers. Or whatever you like.

Shop rats out on the floor refuse to use any type of Poka Yokes. I have missing components in Toledo, and Brampton Assembly, one in a VP's car. 67,000 this week in loses.

Forwarded that right on to the Operations Manager, cc'd all the plant managers and production supervisors. We'll see if they think they're too smart for error proofing now.

What's funny is the Operations Manager knows, but he didn't care, he let them do it. And I literally spent all last week fighting with them over it, syaing you need to use this vision system, you need to use that camera.

"Nope, fuck you, not doing it, write that in your little book". And I'd tell them, are you sure they are going to back you when the SHTF? "We know what we're doing out here, we get shit done, stupid fucking engineer's think they know how to do my job".

Okie Doke then :sonicjay:

Now the emails are rolling in, the bills are rolling in, FCA Quality Manager is in our facility, IATF is in our facility.

And I'm going on vacation to the UP tomorrow like, :bdr2::bdr2::bdr2::bdr2::bdr2:

I find it funny when I see things like that "We know what we are doing!" "Why did you let us do that?" "Because you knew what you're doing, I got it in writing!"

I am working on something like that right now. I think its going to have a similar resolution, but I'm about that the middle of the situation now.

The difficult part is to remain impassive. I'm a fairly aggressive person by nature, so the middle part is the difficult part. Where they just heap the verbal abuse on lol.

And of course, oftentimes, they get away with shenanigans, in the end though, they always lose. They also always forget.

On the other side of the coin, we have managers who told us they understand how easy it is to assemble an engine, because they put one together using vr goggles.

I got a buddy that this happened to, he never let up after the fuck up. It was funny to watch the smug roll off of this guy and the program manager just sit there and take it because he knew my buddy was right. It was a big fuck up too, like 6 figure fuck up. He got his way alot after that before he left the company.
