My cat might be kinda old, But I would bet he can kick most other cats ass.

Update: September 2014
The cat that started this thread is not longer with us.

I dunno, do you like your kids? He likes his kids, just thinks his wife is a waste of space.
Yeah, well the kids thing didn't end well for me. Hers are out of the house, and our son together passed away last year. :(

Don't worry, I'm dealing with it as well as I can. But I can certainly understand the waste of space. I just don't understand how someone can be super efficient at work, and totally useless at home.

Sounds like she's full of herself, she's good at work so thinks she doesn't need to do anything at home. She's "above" it

Aside from the kids you two are almost the same person. Sorry again about your kid, mine is 1yo tomorrow and I'd lose my shit if anything happened to him.

Hey, it's all ok.

I can't say that you ever get over the death of a child, but with time you learn to focus on the good times you had to cope with it.

What sucks is all the stuff I have obtained over the years that I was going to leave to him to enjoy, don't know where it's going to go now. Neither one of the stepkids are gearheads in any way.

Trade her in instead of the truck. :thumb:
Keeping her is cheaper.

I could have it far worse, she is actually thrifty and isn't into clothes or shoes. If this is all she asks for I guess I can deal with it. It allowed me to go up a trim level and get the seats that air condition your balls.

Just went through your struggle, wound up with a low mileage hemi commander. Pleased to see it is rated for 7200. Wife wanted a tahoe but they just cost too damn much

We were looking at Tahoes, but got a good deal on this.

It's weird, the way they advertise them they make it look like they tow 7400, advertising that gvw rating. The manual says 5k... I was like WTF?

I'm not willing to pay to have Chrysler interiors and electrical, I haven't been happy with either of the last two Rams I've had for work

Not sure the exact difference in numbers between Suburban and Tahoe, but they can't be much. Without the towing package the Tahoes are down around 5000. With it(basically just a brake controller and auxiliary trans cooler) they're 8100 or 8200. I thought my wife's 09 Tahoe had the towing package but turns out it doesn't. Gonna add a trans cooler, swap my brake controller over, and throw some helper bags in back and see how it does with the 7500 lb camper. It has almost the same power as my 05 3/4 ton, and I think the 2 extra gears will make it nicer for finding the sweet spot.

The axle gears are different as well, 3.42 vs 3.08

I was surprised because the same year truck same drivetrain is at least 7k

Our crew with the 3.42 gear set was tasted like 9k

Yup, selling Fusion and getting an SUV, truck isn't any good anymore with 2 kids :sonicjay:
I traded in a ranger for a crew cab f150. I miss the ranger but I love my f150.

Wife thinks I'll be buying another truck down the road. Downsize, new tech, whatever. I'm adamant this was the last truck I am buying. Has everything I need and want.

I had the ranger 7 years and was hoping to turn it into a off road toy.

We had a crew cab Chevy, it was perfectly fine with two kids. My wife was convinced my son is going to have friends over all the time and she would need to haul them. She also says her parents will need to ride with us (maybe twice a year - they live in Illinois and Texas) We take my son to a different district ~ 7-10 miles away. He won't be having friends over for awhile.

She also was obsessed with rear air/heat because the kids are always cold or hot... that was BS. My son does complain all the time about being hot, but the same kid sleeps in the coldest room of the house and still kicks his blankets off. We will never keep him comfortable.

I'm just pissed because I loved that truck
