Some more wheeling in, This time out i busted a stock Front hub. Its my first break with the 60/14 in the truck. FINALLY the hub was the fuse before the shaft lol.

Framed out on some logs (i wasn't driving it :teehee

 

save up for the drive flanges and 35 spline outers.i finally broke a stock ford lockout and my second outer shaft. it sure is nice being able to hold it to the wood now isnt john.

I always held it to the wood lol.....now i can hold it longer, spend less $$, and not have to fix it before the next trip.

There is a guy on another board who installed the engine/trans from a explorer V8 into his B2. I guess it was a complete nightmare and he spent lots of $$ and time before he got the electronics right.

 

Doubler is reinstalled, all I have left with that is build a shifter and buy a conversion joint.

Well my winch has been really hard to free spool and LOUD, so I removed it from the truck and brought it with me to work. Complete tear down. Found the bearing in the elec motor at the end of where the brushes are was seized. So drove out to Grainger and picked up a new bearing for $10. Cleaned everything. Reinstalled all components. Now it free spools good but is still very loud. I couldn't get the entire center section torn down (where the cable spools). The loud noise sounds to be coming from the internals to that part.

Also bought a tri-gauge set. My last outing was in some deep water and my dash didn't agree. Having all kinds of gauge issues. So time to just by-pass those altogether.

Now I just need to get my doubler shifter and issue figured out for the weekend.

 

well it should crawl pretty nicely now even with the manual tranny..

 

Going to need that ratio at R&V's. I'm sure it'll come in handy at TT too :rock:
