btw thanks for all the advise on my bronco. although i was unable to use much the ideas were good to hear.

what trans are you running?

I once saw a chop top B2 with snaps around the edge of the sils, pillars, roof and tailgate. not necesicerially a waterproof set up but it looked really good. if you coulf get it made out of waterproofed canvas and some vinal windows sewn in i think it would look Really good and be functional. if i find the pictures of it ill send them to you.

on a side note are the lift gate shocks worth selling from your chopped rear

 

not really on the hatch shocks, not sure i even have them any more.

I am using an M5ORD-1 from a 93 Explorer Sport and a 1354M Tcase But possibly soon to be a 1350/1354 Doubler again :teehee:

Doublers kick ass.

 

i ran a doubler in my explorer sport. Nothing quite like having it in double low and being on a hill in 5th gear and being able to let the clutch out and climb the hill with no throttle assitance and that was with 3.73 gears. Now i have 4.88's. I hve a max speed of like 8 mph in double low lol.

 

I was thinking somthing like this

obviusly this is a full sized and you would have to accomidate for the cage but i think this would look realy cool

 

The top isn't that big of a deal being the truck isn't street legal.

where did the cage go?

 

the back half had to be removed and be redone. its in the back of Nd4spd's sonoma or atleast thats where it was when it left here lol B Pillar forward the cage is still the same.

 

aah when you makin a purchase for the new cage?

 

not sure, when the money is present to make a purchase lol.

I did find that i had a rear shock bent, was restricting the shock from compressing the last 5 inches of travel. I was wondering why my rear flex had decreased. guess i found it. Still have to mount the gas tank, m,ake new shock mounts, buy a shock, and hook the rear brakes back up.

 

What do you plan on doing diferent with the cage?

 

where the cage bolted to the floor in the rear, is now where my tires tuff into the body so i had to clearance the body, i'll probably do some type of wrap around and tie it into the frame.

shifters and driveshafts

 

that thing is going to be bad ass. i was doing reading and found that unimogs come factory with gearing as low as 4500:1. that's ridiculous. your rig is has some serious torque. i don't know if you ever plan on putting new axles under your rig, but if you do this might be an option. they are not all that common but offering 7.14 gearing, and a factory locker and unmatched ground clearance i think this might be worth looking into.

nonetheless i like this rig a lot. i think the portal axles could be mounted spring over on a longer vehicle.

thats not my trans, it just the same trans that is in my truck. I am using it for mock-up purposes. My trannie is still in my truck.
