Fun weekend, but wasn't without carnage.

Went out Friday night friday night. Was running big ugly backwards when I rolled the buggy going down hill. No carnage.

Next day, hoped in on my way to the bump and hustle when my belt tensioner bolt broke off in the bracket. 2.5 hrs later and new tensioner and bolt and a trip down the road to a guys shop to get the broken bolt out I had it fixed. Just in time for the bump and hustle to be done with. Really bummed I missed it :(. Didn't even get to watch.

But got it fixed and made an attempt at Bounty hill. AFter getting hung up on a tire at the entrance and then rolling before even getting to the hill, i made my attempt. Where it was obvious I didn't have a chance. But still tried to put on a show for the spectators. Even that was cut short. My throttle cable came off my gas pedal.

AFter it was all said and done, went back out and played on winch hill where I stuffed the front end into a rock (maybe a few times :teehee:), which led to a bent tie rod bar and broke the end off my ram leaving me with no steering.

After getting it loaded, it was noticed my carrier bearing on the front driveshaft is also shot to hell.

Atleast I now have a few things to do before the club comp.

New buggy name is the "Narcoleptic Buggy"
It likes to take unexpected naps.

4 flops in 6 outings lol.

1st was unexpected

2nd on purpose

3rd I give a 50/50. I thought it could and didn't try hard to prevent it.

4th was in stupidity :sonicjay:

Not suggesting anything, I'm just seeing a pattern/resemblence to the myotonics; :teehee:

Live and learn. Don't see it in the video. But eventually I broke my ram attempting to move a rock further up the hill that was bigger then the buggy :teehee:.

So apparently in the rush to get the bracket and alternator back on the buggy for the bounty hill I never plugged the alternator back in. Hence why I killed the battery winching later on :fish:.

But got the tie rod and the ram replaced, bearing on front driveshaft fixed, and even hooked my brake lights back up.

Need to figure out something more solid for the front driveshaft. The rubber mounted bearing isn't gonna work long term. It flexes enough to.rub the exhaust in which I had to weld a hold up in the pipe from it rubbing through.

Have a hard mount pillow block style I purchased online. Haven't gotten to replace it yet cause I'd have to change the transfer case side of the driveshaft to allow for some movement.

So after the Bounty hill aftermath inspection and repair, I borrowed a tire pressure gauge to set my psi right before my attempt. It must not of read right or operator error :sonicjay: I checked the pressures afterward and was over 20 psi in each tire :fish: not that it mattered I didn't have a chance anyway lol.
