Back in December I took the buggy to twisted. Roads were salted heavy. On the way home I stopped at the car wash a couple miles from home. But is was like 5 degrees out and water froze almost instantly on the buggy.

Well the salt did a number on my electrical. While everything still worked. After a thorough inspection that wouldn't of been the case for long.

So tearing it all apart to redo it.

Ordered new gauges and also ordered a new winch. Gonna mount the warn in the rear.

SO I get the dash just about done, go to install the panel, and it doesnt fit :whiz:.

I changed gauges from cheap summit to auto meters, and the auto meters are deeper then the summits. So the gauges hit on the bar behind the dash. Looks like I am spacing the dash 1" further from the firewall. Shouldn't be to bad. Got most everything wired back up. Man, cant have to many spots to hook up ign hot wires though.

Just need to get my plasma back and I can get my taillights mounted, the upper dash piece cut, my winch plate cut so I can position the rope to the axle as suck down.

Also installed a 3g ford altenator to boost the amp output from my stock one.

Took the day off from the buggy to spend the time helping kyle get his ranger ready yesterday. Now he has no excuse not to make it :teehee:.

Got a little time in this morning before easter related family activities. Got the new column installed, tach mounted. Dash and wiring is 95% done. Got the new coolant sensors installed. Waiting for my new winch to arrival. If in time, I plan to move the vr8000 to the rear. Got a replacement hood to cut up to better fit then the old one. That may or may not get done before the weekend.

However I do need to address my new trailer. It has very poorly secured anchor points for tie downs. And the cross members are a joke. Gonna have to install two new crossmembers to secure the new tie downs to.
