Can't decide on what to do about tires. The one I cut Saturday evening isn't repairable.

I have 5 mtrks, 2 have been repaired, 1 has the smallest pinhole near the bead edge. Buy one more and keep on with mtrks.

Been wanting to try treps, but can't bring myself to pay the price for 42s.

Dont wanna drop down to 40" treps but more reasonable cost.

Or 43" sx for a little less then the 40" treps.

Decisions decisions

Know anyone with a transamerican wholesale account? My neighbor has one, his pricing showed $630 each but he thought he might be able to get them closer to $600 if he went to a store. I got my replacement from Dave's Offroad, and they were shipped from Transamerican. Next time I'll just have my buddy order them.

I like my 40s, I think I'd like to get a set of 42s to rec wheel. It seems like they should've opened the tread up a bit to get more bite in the dirt. One thing I've heard from numerous people is burping issues with 40s. I really think its a wheel choice issue. I've never had a problem burping my 40s at 6 psi on Racelines. A guy I know with a 4 banger buggy on 40" Treps has to stay around 12 psi on his Walker Evans (I think thats the brand).

I've burped air with every single side beadlock I've owned. But since going to dual Rock Monsters, I have never burped air. :woot: Although I've run stickies for 6 years, I've actually gone the other way back to bias. They make a difference, but not enough to require 2 sets of tires.

I've never burped air from my kmc/mtrk. Well not from the bead :sonicjay:.

But the bead area on a mtrk is just the right size to fit in the bead groove of the wheels. Where the sx and trep beads are entirely to large for majority of the wheels out there.

I don't think rock monsters will clear my front brakes. My kmc enduro beadlocks didn't clear the calipers completely and I had to "massage" the calipers to clear. I think the 05+ super duty brakes are to large.

Let me know if you're interested in these and I'll find out if he has them for sale yet.

Ooooooo nice stuff
I feel like the 05+ aftermarket stuff has got to be on the rise
It's only going to become more popular with its availability and strength
