This is a cool concept. So in front of the alum plate is 4L60E, and behind is Ford C6?

Yes, that's a c6-np205 adapter. That one is aluminum, the one I will be using is steel.

Advance adapters makes a kit North of $600 to mate a 4L60 to a ford 205. I have $250 into mine so far.


We will be putting the stock vss tone ring from the donor tcase onto the tails haft of my Ford 205.

Surprised nobodys asked about vss plans. Got that figured out. Trying to load pics.

Here is the vss from the stock 99 Silverado tcase. Didn't catch which model. But took it apart and saved the tone ring.

Pulled the rear output housing off the 205. Slid the plastic speedo gear off. And who thunk it, the stock Silverado vss slides right on and engages the splines of the 205.

Needed to remove the step off the vss. To get it to position correctly.

Then took a carbide and removed and opened the stock vss port. Ordered a nut from McMaster Carr and welded it into the opening. Threaded the vss in and kept the vss spacing off the tone ring with a feeler gauge and tacked the nut in place. Then removed the vss and welded the nut in.
