I should get one of them gates too! I have all my gates cut out so I can go first to reverse easy

I wanted reverse to 1st unobstructed. But have Park blocked. I couldn't file my old gates to have that.

I did that to mine also but kept the nubs where the gates were so I can feel it while driving. I am going to file them down a little more though because it does get hung up on them a little.

I've had mine unobstructed for several years, also with park blocked. No issues. As far as finding neutral, I rarely feel the need for neutral and if I do I'm sitting still so it's pretty simple.

Yeah wasn't concerned with neutral just want to be able to slap between 1-r and r-1 in a hurry if needed. But making sure I couldn't accidentally get Park.

that's why I got the winters as well. I usually crawl in 3rd/low range so it's a quick easy shot to reverse. it's worked a couple times already :naughty:

So I shortened the long side 4"s. The stock shaft measures 39.01“

Turns out a Chevy Dodge shaft measures 35.10". So I ordered up a yukon inner.

What are you gonna run for stub shafts and drive flanges. I looked and couldn't find anything other than stock stubs. Brian broke the stock lockouts and we got drive flanges from rock solid but I think they closed up shop?

Yep, stock for labor day club comp unless I find something before then. Haven't had any luck finding flanges yet.

For now, stock stubs and stock short inner and yukon inner long side. Spicer joints and full circle clips.

Rcv eventually.

Yea rcv were pricey for super 60 way more expensive than normal 60 rcv. I don't see the point with stock lockouts though they will be first to go. I might be able to get some drive flanges cut if you need them

Flanges before rcv. Price I got for rcvs was same for this axle as was for the 89.

Hmm looks like a super 60 stub shaft. But I don't know all the details of those axles

450-550 05+ use larger unit bearings and larger joints then the 05+ 250-350.

Overson? I think, makes a stub that directly engages the bearing. No flange needed.

That's beefy looking but doesn't look like the right spline for the unit bearing

SO, it looks like CTM has made 1550 stub shafts and 40 spline inners for these 05+ unit bearing knuckles, that spline directly into the HUGE spline drive of the bearing itself.... basically since they came out... 10 years ago.

WTF. Why has this not caught on, and why do people even mess with 40 spline 1480 kingpin stuff!?!

From what I was told when I ordered my RCV's a 60 is a 60 when it comes to RCV's they don't charge anything more for "custom" length shafts as they are already all custom.

I called them for 05 and they said the cv they use is way bigger than normal 60 and they cost much more?
