if there was a mount on only one side of the engine, there would be concern.

Fortunately, around 130 years ago they realized this and put mounts on both sides of engines, which creates a triangulated structure. For all purposes the mounts are rigid to the frame and there is very little tensile loading on the bolts because the engine creates a triangulated wedge when it applies force downward.

If you want tires that have been vulcanized, I'll sell you mine. :teehee:

And fwiw, I tend to need to repair about 1 of my reds per year. I can live with that.
I don't need anymore tires sitting around getting dry rot, I've found web wheeling to be far more fun and less expensive!!!

Its similar to a fixed beam. I read it on the internet.

Does running reds on a JHF void the warranty?

They're probably fine for a lighter duty rig, sidewalls are probably comparable to the 42 trep from what I hear.
I've been around plenty of crawlers that have done well on 39 reds. I don't plan on doing any racing, so not worried other than the occassional slice that occurs. I've sliced BFGs, Goodyears, Intercos, and Maxxis tires.. it's bound to happen.

I do miss the 35 General short course tires I used to have. Those were brutes. I don't think I've ever worked with a tire with a thicker sidewall.

Wow, you've really let yourself go

I'm 4,800 pounds.
Not exactly what I was referring to.

Those short course tires are stupid heavy. I've only killed one trep, but that hit also killed two racelines and ripped my 1/2" thick UHMW skid in half. :sonicjay:

Is that when you were locked front and rear on 35's? :teehee:

Not exactly what I was referring to.
Enlighten me.:beerbang:

I run my reds pretty low and have pinched a sidewall a few times. Comes with the territory.

Atlas showed up. Last one I bought was in 2002 and had a 4 digit serial. I think they have sold a few since then.

Basic specs: 3:1 low, 1350 front, 1410 rear, 32 spline to hook up to my Th400.

Speaking of the trans, I handed it over to Tom today to rebuild. It will be back after the leaves fall off the trees.
