is there not a bar from the B pillar to the rear of the truck, or atleast behind the rear suspension load point?

Not to keep this all going, but that truck is an out of date Pro 2 that has a 5.0 in it now I believe. I have not seen it this year but last year it had a 351 that was on the passenger side not in the front, but you should have been able to figure that out from the pics/ vid. He also has a old prolite with a 22R that's still tore up from last year. Or at least was a few weeks ago.

I really don't know Mike well but we have mutual freinds and I have been around him now and again. He seem like a alright guy, probably not wired right, but that could be said about alot of us :sonicjay:.

"I cant believe all the critics out there in the internet world! I have been building this truck for over a year! it started out as a short course race truck we converted to play in the sand dunes, we have been increasing our distance each time we go out, the truck is almost perfectly weighted, I never dreamed in a million years I would fly that far or stay in the air that long, the video doesn't show the first two jumps I made that were perfect, I had my foot mashed on the brake as hard as I could I was going over 70 mph at launch and yes after watching the video I built a large sail and I am telling you write now that I will fix the issue and some point someday when the time is write I will go over 200ft. P.S. the truck should be back in action this weekend!"

Really? He ran that chassis design through simulations to get a crumple zone out of it? That's very interesting. I wonder who he was running his simulations or is he doing it himself? I'm guessing he told people it was supposed to do that to make the truck sound more official. Very classy move in my book. BTW did you know Al Gore invented the Internet?

im curious why everything mike has done is wrong? whats wrong with fish plating the frame? why does the cage work seem like its from the 80's? the cage was overbuillt for what he is using it for so he cut up the cage and rewelded it to lighten it up, but still keep strength where it needs to be. in all seriousness go up to the dunes and stop mike and talk to him about it. might just change all your minds.

Probably not,........... He was out of control in that video, with to many people around. He didn't do anybody any service by showing his ego. Far too dangerous to be doing that type of jumping at the dunes.

Like I said earlier, had he done this off hours with safety barriers and equipment, I would have been okay with it. He risked not only his health and welfare, but all of those spectating. He didn't have proper control of the truck, otherwise he would not have aired with his nose up like that.

All I saw in that video was ego, and ammunition to shut the dunes down.

I'm not against jumping, in fact I'm very proud of the photo that I have of you in the blue truck, this guy however needs an adjustment.

I know you're not quoting me. My opinion is that when you watch someone raise the front end and they have to back off the throttle to regain control, it's quite obvious they are losing performance and efficiency. Others seem to be able to raise the front end slightly and maintain a straight path.
The avatar for AFRD_CJ5 looks like he has a great launch but if he kept lifting and had to back off, that's not so good.

Nope not quoting you. My point is that 94ranger guy there made that comment that your just along for the ride once your vehicle leaves the ground. I disagree with that comment. I know in motor cross you have complete control of your vehicle (bike) while in the air. Also monster truck racing, they have somewhat control of there vehicle while in the air as well. The tires hold allot of rotating mass and you can control the speed of the tires. Hit the gas to raise the front end or hit the brakes the bring the front end down. You are not just along for the ride !
