It is that time of year to put “the other 4x4” to play.
I will start with an interrogative ponder: of all things being equal, which is more likely to get stuck in deep snow ATV or compact 4x4 tractors?

I am looking a SSQA snow blade for the loader.
I think it makes sense from the standpoint of having more control over the blade tilt, tip and angle while plowing. It looks like it is hanging pretty far out in front.
Does anybody use one?

This summer I might try and afford an inverted snow blower.
Those look pretty slick, but might be more than I need.
The the ability to drive forward with a 3PH blower is appealing.
 
I like show pusher's myself. Scraping with a blade on the front seems to stress loader arms, and if you hit something I worry about bending one.

I've been looking at these, they seem a bit cheesy, but they wouldn't grab as hard.

I through this together last year from a bunch of junk I had around the farm. It works great, I have snapped a few welds giving it a little to much but for what I have in it it works great the few times a year I need it to.

I like show pusher's myself. Scraping with a blade on the front seems to stress loader arms, and if you hit something I worry about bending one.

That looks like a track off of some tracked vehicle.
The BV206 has rubber tracks, they say it will do sixty down a paved highway.

I have a piece of 1”x8”x6’ piece of hard durometer rubber I was going to bolt into the wear edge on my ATV blade. I have temporarily misplaced the longer bolts for that mod, but going into that hole/corner this weekend.

That's exactly what it is, a reuse of a worn track. I have the start of a steel one I was building, but I never finish it in summer when it is warm. 😂

This last winter I found myself plowing the neighbor in unfavorable conditions. My high tech headlamp is awesome, but winds 35mph @ 16° blowing heavy snow, it was still awesome but limited by my hood and cold weather gear. So I am venturing into lighting.
I’ve added a saw box, which is a must with its limited cargo spaces, and gives me a place to hang some rear work lights, in addition to the articulating ROPS lights.

Sifting through the shop manual looking for surprises, I discovered that the heart of the electrical system is a 14 amp dynamo. Granted, modern LED are low draw, I still feel limited.
As it turns out, the same tractor with a cab comes with a 40 amp alternator to power heat and air conditioning.

As luck would have it Kubota offers the alternator as an upgrade kit, complete with brackets spacers, harness, and dipstick for $260.

Ko Buddha is great for moving shit around. Overcoming distance and gravity for a variety of loads, mostly firewood.
Now, I want to expand my storage ability by palletizing some stuff.

So looking at pallet forks, I have discovered that all pallet forks are not created equal.

Only these did a half dozen things others didn’t, has the hooks I would weld on, is 3PH and SSQA, and has a stump bucket. The Swiss Army Knife of pallet forks.
I have already tipped a load over with the forks, only firewood so it was a minor hit 😂
