Some of you might know me, Collin, I've been to a handful of events in the last year or so riding along with @Ryanw10 or @BLZR. Well I decided to finally bring a build thread over here...I don't feel like posting all of my rebuild progress from when I totaled it until now but if you have any questions just ask...

It was stock when I totaled it and this is what it looks like now

I'm currently 8 lug rear 5 lug front. I should be 8 lug front and rear by the time I head up to Drummond on Oct 22nd. Last night I just picked up some Corbeau Baja JP Wide seats and threw them in, just gotta make a harness bar and get the 4pt's installed.

I've done all the work myself or with the help of friends so I can answer any questions you might have...for some reason there aren't a lot of JK build threads on GL4x4 :sonicjay:

Biggest change is making the link cross member instead of using the factory cross member for links. Lol. Also build new links since 2” x .25” DOM is only $124 a stick, it was more than worth my time to upgrade from 1.75” x .25” since I also wanted 1.25” heims everywhere.

Buggy brake line question.

I’m running a full new set of lines from the prop valve to a single line on front and and single line on rear axle that each T off and go to each wheel.

Should 3/16” line be good for everything? I’ve already bought 3/16” everything, unless someone can make a super convincing argument to go 1/4”.

I leave for Canada to go wheeling in 8 days.

Pics just because.

Stock TJ booster, Dodge 1 ton MC, single 3/16" line going to each end, 3/4 ton Chevy calipers at all 4 corners, zero complaints about braking with heavy 40s. I had a Jeg's adjustable prop valve for 4 years, then ran into an issue with it after this winter. I bypassed it during the truobleshooting phase and the braking is perfect with no prop valve at all.

Even though I had a PCM mishap, still an amazing weekend in Canada. That’s the best wheeling I’ve ever experienced.

Also after driving a few different LS rigs this weekend steph and I may or may not have made a poor financial decision on the way home. Only $400, but there will be more to come. Lol

Hoping to start pulling apart this week. Just need to make up a make shift tie rod to move it around since my ram is currently in sault st Marie with beefy. Got a buddy freshening up my 6.0 for me, any recommendations on a cam? I also need a complete RMVB turbo 400, a GM round pattern 205, and a ford 205 if anyone has leads on anything. For the right price I’ll just take a stock 400 and throw a RMVB in myself.

I also have an 05+ 60 behind the garage I’m contemplating throwing in if anyone wants my front 79 king pin.

I think I already told you what I thought. The SS2 cam shifts the rpm range a little too high for what we do IMO. Yes, it'll rip your face off from 4500-7000 but by the time you're too that point it's a crap shoot anyway. Sounds cool. The picture isn't my spreadsheet and it was built for boosted applications but it gives you some idea of the difference between a SS2 and SS1 cam as well as LS3,6,7,9 ect. In a car you make up for it with the converter but with what we do, converter is heat and heat is bad so it's a system that you have to balance. That probably wasn't the spoon you were hoping to eat from.

I have the TSP 224r cam in my 5.3 and it definitely shifted the RPM range higher than I would have really wanted. It definitely rips my face off past 4000 rpm, which is awesome, but there has been times where I wish I had more power down low. I'm hoping the LS9 cam I put in my willys LS motor holds some of the power down low but unfortunately it will be a while til I get to test that one out..

In process of acquiring a new to me front axle. 05+ super duty, RCVs, full Artec trusses already set up for 4 link, etc. Just need to sell a few more parts which should hopefully happen this week.

In the past week or so I’ve picked up a turbo 400, 203, and 205. I don’t plan on keeping the 203, but the seller wouldn’t separate.

My current front king pin 60 is for sale if anyone is interested.
