I put a reman'd transfer case in my 2004 Silverado Duramax and I just started to hear a noise after towing the Jeep with it last weekend.


Sounds like the chain possibly, can hear it when I'm alongside a wall or close to something for the noise to bounce off of. When I spin the front driveshaft it makes the noise. And the rear output shaft (driveshaft) gets warm after only driving it a couple miles.

I know there is fluid in it, put 5w30 synthetic oil in it back in January when the remand unit was installed.

Any ideas?
