I need the same shaft lengths as you. 31.62 and 37.62.
That part number on Amazon is only up to a 35" shaft. The - 42 is only good down to 38.2". How did you handle the 37.62" shaft?

I'm ready to order but wondering how this is working out for you?

Edit, just found they also offer a - 38 which should cover my needs.
Old man problems... lol!

I have yet to cut and install. May do that today since its decent outside

Took advantage of the nice day yesterday and decided to cut/install drive shafts.

Used my cold saw with a half worn carbid blade.Took a little while to cut through these shafts. Took my time...cut a bit and let cool. I figured if I just went all the way through at once, it would mess with the heat treat by getting it super hot?

The passenger side had to be tapped in with a mallet. Driver side slide in like butter! Perfect!

I've got my short side cut & done. Still waiting for the long side to arrive. (was supposed to be here yesterday. I cut mine with a cutoff blade in the Metabo. Wrap it with tape and then work your way around the shaft to make sure it is cut square and work through it. Doing this slowly keeps it pretty cool.

It's good practice to not overheat them but you likely won't get it hot enough to hurt the temper. I think you need to get 4340 upwards of 600-700 F before you will start drawing it back.
