All back together. Installed one of the backing plate bolts backwards so I could put a nut on it since the threads were stripped out.
Nickel Gas Tool Engineering Machine tool

Had to BFH the caliper bracket a bit to get the inner pad to clear. The caliper fell out of my hand and snapped the braded line :( Sooooo Summit order will have it here Monday.

Might visit some u-pull yards to see if I can find a driver shaft and pick up some spares. Was hoping the noise I heard in the T-case was actually axle issues....but its still there.

Once I get this buttoned up it will move out of the garage and another project will come in.

Pulled out of the garage and put into the container.

New project has entered.

California Fox. Brother put in 6.0, sloppy stage 2 cam. 4l80 trans. Holley controlled. Him and I built the front half 4 or so years ago.

Helped him a bit install the cage. Needs a lot of finishing work to tie it all together and to make it safe. Should be a fun change of things and I don't have to pay for it!

Looked at a local you pull yard in Howell for a rear shaft. Didn't have anything but the new AAM stuff. Said F IT and ordered some yukon shafts.

Interestingly they are a bigger diameter.

Shipping box Wood Gas Auto part Automotive tire

Finger Font Gas Calipers Metal

Automotive tire Material property Gas Nickel Tints and shades

Now I just need to cut them to length. I see the driver should be 31-5/8 and pass. 37-5/8

Racecar things! We almost cut the housing apart the night before to straighten it and decided not to. The extra camber was MINT sliding corners at 80mph
I'll loan you my alignment bar lol.

To think you gave me crap for not wanting to buy a driver side Yukon shaft from you.... LOL! DU!H!!! I may not be a smart man....but I'm not a complete Idiot!

I did. Search for
YA WGM14T-30-35

You'll see summit racing wants $348 amazon $242 shipped. $389 at RuffStuff
I need the same shaft lengths as you. 31.62 and 37.62.
That part number on Amazon is only up to a 35" shaft. The - 42 is only good down to 38.2". How did you handle the 37.62" shaft?

I'm ready to order but wondering how this is working out for you?

Edit, just found they also offer a - 38 which should cover my needs.
