Put a down payment on one of these guys today. Dealer is suppose to take Delivery later this month. $3800 OTD for a new bike, I think it will be prefect for my dirt road path to work, and can keep miles of the Africa Twin.

My brother has been trying to push me into getting a bike.

How fast does something like this go on the street? If it could do 80, that would be perfect for where I live.
^^^^^^ Gonna need his africa twin for that job.
Yea, I'm thinking this one will do 60-70 depending on weight and wind. I have watched some overseas videos of the same bike and 100-120kpm seems to be top speed. I don't care about top speed personally, this bike will be 75% dirt, and rarely see 55mph roads.

After this season I have a buddy who will be getting rid of his KTM adventure bike for an Africa Twin...You interested?

I first need to get my endorsement and shit. Then I would probably just go buy a new bike. Those Africa Twins look nice and I had my eyes on that to.

KTM is cool, and fast as fuck. But from what I understand not super reliable. The Africa Twin may be down on power, but there are many people that have claimed 100K miles without issue,

That may or may not be exactly why he's getting rid of it. Lol. The KTM is a riot, but he's going to the twin for reliability. I love riding his KTM...Power is awesome, the "half" traction control is badass, and it's smooth at 120+mph. However our friends group there are 3 guys with Africa twins who have a combined 50,000 miles without issue, where Pete has had a couple issues with his KTM including one that left him stranded in Utah.
I now own a 2023 KLR.

Was looking at the Africa Twin and just decided I didn't need to spend the $17k plus just yet.

Yup, I was thinking about upgrading to a Newer AT, but not at that price. I could have scored a new TW200 today, but they are double the price of the XR, so I decided the XR should be good enough.
XR showed up at the dealer today, now I just have to wait for them to assemble.
