I suppose it is possible but you'd get a very stiff ride. I put a set of ZR2 springs from an extended cab truck into a single cab short box. I tried bottoming out the springs once but all I did was find out I made into a 3/4 ton. I used my beat up saggy springs that i replaced on the s-10 on my XJ and it gave me the lift and payload capacity that I wanted.
