anybody have any idea how much lock actuators cost for a 2000 WJ? How hard are they to replace?

Not hard at all, ive gone through 2 so far. Let me guess, its making a terrible noise when u lock it? :sonicjay: They are about 50 bucks if u know ppl at the dealer. You will need to buy the actuator and the 11 door pins that are in the front door, or pins for the rear, as they will most likely break off when u remove the door panel. Easy to change. Remove the 2 linkages from the unit, lock and handle, then remove the 2 or 3, i can't remember, torx bolts that are in the jam. Pull it out and insert new one.

looking at a used WJ that the lady says there bad. I thought I'd check on price so I can work the asking price down!

one of mine is shot. But I am not going to replace it becuase it is a door I never use :)
