I just picked up an aluminum valve cover for my 258. Can anyone tell me what kind and size of bolts i should use for this? The stock hardware that came with the plastic valve cover won't work on the new cover. Any help would be great so that i can get the jeep back up and running.

Thanks,
Ben

The aftermarket aluminum covers typically require modifications to the head, such as drilling/tapping for the different fasteners that the new cover requires. This is one of the reasons why people don't buy them. Instead, they fix their exhaust manifold leaks (most common cause of plastic cover warpage) and replace the cover with another plastic cover, being careful not to over-tighten it. Over-tightening the valve cover is probably the most common cause of valve cover leakage on non-warped covers.
