anyone in the traverse city area have knowledge of putting a weber on the I6 258 cj7. I would galdy provide some food and beers to come help me out for a bit. With the stock intake manifold, and aftermarket dual exhaust header is it better to

1. plug the pcv connection at the base of the carb adapter plate or????

2. eliminate vacuumn assembly on the wheel well side of the carb that has 3 connections, 1 to brake booster, 2 to charcoal canister, and 3rd is plugged and just run 1 vacuum into carb from brake housing.

3. the vacuum advance to the distrubor is a small house that attaches to a adapter on intake manifold with a second line running to charcoal canister.?????????????? how, where????????????? to run this.

Jeep starts right up and drives great when cold but when it gets warm, it'll lag under a heavier foot and sometimes sputter. I have a fuel regulator set at 2.6psi between the fuel filter and the carb. primary jet is one turn out as per tuning instructions from weber and bowl moves freely and adjusted to 17.5mm. I'm just missing the final tweak and could use a hand

messed with the timing today, set it around 9* at what we think is 1600rpm .
however in order for the jeep not to stall when it is put in gear and you hold the brake(especially reverse) i have to set the idle really high. i rechecked all the vacuum lines and showing a solid 22 from the manifold, the vacuum line running from the intake manifold to the distributor is at about 10. the jeep also seems to run better when i take off the oiled air cleaner on the top of the weber. does the small bit of oil lubricate the carb???? if the jeep is strictly for street driving, not dusty roads can i just plug the oiler coming from the rear of the valve cover?

Although this would be a far stretch from being in that area if you will identify the Weber series (model)I could help you do the tuning.

If there is uncertainty of its identity, all downdraft Webers will have the series and size stamped on the base flange/mounting surface on the end opposite that of the choke assembly.
