Thinking about buying either of these. Any advantage to one or the other ?
From what I have read Tabor is warn and id like the extra pulling power since my heep weights a fair bit more then a CJ,YJ and so on. Hard to say but guessing fully loaded my commando should come in somewhere around 4400 lbs. What I don't like about Tabor is the 1 year warranty versus Warns limited lifetime. Which would you go with ?

I've never owned, nor have I offroaded with anyone owning a Tabor.
I've owned and used three Warns.
I can't give you any real life comparison.

Commandos are 300 pounds lighter than a YJ, and around 700 pounds lighter than a TJ, according to JP magazines autopsies.(sp)

The weights quoted for Commando quoted by JP mag were for 4 bangers and the shorter wheelbase pre 72's.

Mine will come in around 4200 lbs if I'm lucky.

I did go with a warn. The XD9K :)

The one the winch is for is a 72. I have a mostly stock 71 as well.

If your not interested in the freebie I know someone who is :sonicjay:

Go with the Warn M8000. You can always double line it if you need to. I own both the M8000 and XD9000i, and I prefer the line speed of the M8000
