My thighs and forearms are burning just watching. 4 minutes footing is a LONG time. Is that the rules that you have to have two guys behind the boat at once for the races? That would certainly help you gut it out longer not being the guy who wants to let go....and I have heard the key to those races is endurance not speed.

The double footers were just for the start of the race. Once you had a fall it reverted to only one footer. And yes............ 4 minutes is a VERY long time back there.

Yes, the endurance seems to be better than speed. Unless, you have competition between 2 boats of equal endurance.

That is what screwed us up the first time we did it. We got all stressed out because we were falling behind. Then we rushed our starts which resulted in bad starts and we tried to run faster than a comfortable speed. Falls happen quicker.

The guys are now running 37-38 instead of 40-42 and making alot longer runs.
