I heard something about using the crd diesel in the jk
The JK was designed for the CRD........but right before they were to be made the .gov said the CRD didnt meet emissions. The CRD is still being used in jeeps elsewhere in the world. The wrangler, liberty, and grand got it in the jeep line.

Even the 300C got a turbo diesel V6......but not in america.

Its the mercedes bluetec 3.0, its low 200's in HP, high 300s in torque. Been around for a few years, but they only put them into the higher trim Limiteds, not in Laredo's, so they were pricy.

For being jeep guys, you sure don't know much about their products in the last few years.

The Diesel Grand is much nicer than the Liberty.

I think i'd still hunt for a Toureg Diesel if i was looking for a diesel family hauler

Sold a boat to a guy a few years ago that had one. He worked for jeep . Said it was gutless and really bad on gas. Just what I was told.
