is there an easy way of going about installing a trans temp gauge on an xj. its a 97 with a 4 speed auto (3 speed with overdrive?) in the process of building a rig for "mild" offloading. daily driver/ family trail rig type thing. already did lift, tires, worked over my intake a bit when i put a stainless header on. now I'm working on the interior and lighting/ electrical. any and all advice is appreciated.

thanks,
Ron

Cool, my buddy suggested drilling a hole or mounting it in the drain plug. Seemed like a problem waiting to happen doing it that way

I made a homemade version of the top on and plumbed it into the line going to the cooler. Never had an issue with about 15 years of use. If I remember correctly though, it has to be grounded, so if that block doesn't get mounted, I'm not sure if the hard line is enough of a ground path. I would assume it is, based on that second kit.
