Fluid has detergents in it, which in time break down. When you completely flush the transmission you will be putting all new fluid in there with all new detergents. Sounds like a good thing, but it's not...especially in a Chrysler tranny. The fresh detergents will start breaking down all of the things that have build up over time on the transmission parts including seals and things that could cause your tranny to start slipping. The best option would be to drop the pan, replace the filter and adjust the bands and then replace the 6 or so quarts that you drained.
