Well I managed to somehow get water in my transmision and would like to do a flush. I've done a little reading on it and the majority of the shit I read says to disconect the cooler lines and put the pick up line in a clean gallon jug of atf and the return line into a empty jug, empty the pan put it back on, add atf through the dipstick hole, start the motor and flush making sure not to let the tranny run dry. Is there a better wat besides going to a shop and having it done?

The nice thing about going to a dealer is they have the machine that does it. Some machines even clean the fluid and put it back in. But trying not to drive it with water in there is the best bet.

Hope its not junk

yeah usually the valve bodys don't like that so much:sonicjay:
Me too but it seemed to drive from Bundy home just fine so it might be. If not I know where theres a real cheap transmission. I just never changed one before.

I'm too cheap to goto a dealer especially when it's something I can do myself. :sonicjay:

Other than the way you listed, I don't think so.

BTW those 'quick relase' connectors are a JOKE. Don't let them piss you off, just cut them out and use some transmission line and double hose clamp the connections.
Hey are these lines high pressure? I see the quick release connectors and I believe him. If I cut these metal lines can I use rubber transmission line to reconnect them togwather?

its easy to release them with the tool you can get at any parts store, there is just a bit of technique involved... no the lines are not high pressure, as far as in and out goes, pop em off, put it in nutral, and crank it over, you will find out real quick. :teehee:

Ok I got it figured out but I found two breather lines one from the tcase that goes to the back of the block and hooks to a little piece of metal tubing thats just sitting there. The other goes from the top of the tranny and runs up by the distributor and is zip tied to the kick down cable it has a little white cap on it. Can I T these into one line and run that line upto my intake?

Jeeps suck. Thats all. Thank you

Edit: I really can't believe this thing still moves! I pumped out two gallons of light pink fluid out of the tranny and then ran two more gallons through it till it came out nice and clean. And I changed the filter. Jeep still shifts and goes great!

Is the fluid in the tcase able to mix with the fluid in the tranny?

I wouldn't run it into the intake, cowel maybe, but if you plum it into the intake after the air filter you run the risk of sucking the fluid out and into the motor, run it into your cowl where your intake is and call it good.
