Whatdoes it mean when tranny fluid is running out the front of the tranny?
727 in a 72 dodge truck used for plowing.
Was working it hard trying to move alot of old snow.:confused:

over heating it and it is either puking thru the vent hole. Or your old trans has a worn front pump seal and it is puking out of that. It sounds like it is starting to slip and get very hot.

it wasn'st slipping, so maybe I caught in time?
So check fliud , add what was lost and drive it around see if it continues to leak???

is it leaking from the inspection cover??? if so probably coming from front seal. if it is coming from vent tube, that should be on top of the tranny, not exactly sure on the tf727 though.

Both the seal and the vent are in behind the torque convertor.

Yeah I would add fluid and see how it goes, it will either spew trans fluid again or not.

after further inspection, I think the frontseal is gone. Bummmer!!!!!!!!
