Cool fab here, but I am sorry to ask... What is it? What is an axle take up device?

Have you seen guys attach their winch cable to the front axle? When climbing say a wall this helps by limiting how much the front suspension can unload while climbing. Adds the unsprung weight of the axle to the jeep to help keep from going over, end over end.

This video is not my jeep and he is using an additional winch hidden under jeep. I am using a hyd cylinder and a limit strap.

I also did this for the rear axle to shut the wife up about how tall it is. Will be able to lower the whole jeep for easier entry.
