Pro Tools 105, getting a rolling tilt stand, and a Harbor Freight air/hydro cylinder. Got started today.:woot:

Why make it tilt?

Couple reasons. First, I've been bending conduit with a hand bender (verticle plane), at work for years. It's easier for me to think in those terms. Second, when making multiplane bends sometimes it can be easier to tilt the bender, rather than the tube(from what I've read, still very new to bending).

It'll work anywhere between 0 and 90 degrees.:beerbang:

Good idea... I usually throw the bender in the hoist when I need to bend something that hits the floor.

A lot of the industrial benders pull vertical though.

Had some free time today, so I made the bracket for the cylinder. Got the idea for the clamp style, from Offroadfabnet. Made from 3" sch40 and .250" plate.

Still have to make legs, and some other small things.

Got the cylinder mounted and started bending the legs today. The cylinder works great, seems to handle the .120 wall effortlessly.

I discovered another benefit to verticle bending, was able to make 90's using a level.:beerbang:

Still have to attach legs, and mount the adjustable casters. Maybe tomorrow. :beer:

Legs and casters are on, rolls nice, has brakes, and can be leveled.:beerbang:

The bender setup worked great, and Bend-Tech SE made it made it all fit like clockwork.

Thanks guys, stay tuned for a couple tube bumpers this winter. I have 22 feet of tube left, might not be enough for both bumpers, but it'll at least do the front.
