i know everyone seems to swap to the one ton chevy tie rod end size, but what size is it, and how do i know what size i have already? i have several fords and dodges that i need to know what size i have now, as i am not buying a ton of new tie rod ends. well, i dont want to anyway, and the ones i have now are good. also who sells the reamers, and how much do they usually cost.

Yeah don't buy the stuff from us. It's marked up high enough we don't have to carry it in stock. :sonicjay:

If your using the Chevy 1/2 ton-3/4ton ends your looking for a reamer with 1.5" of taper per foot. This works out to like 7.12 degrees.

- If your looking for the best... this is what you want. We have had the same one for almost 2 years now. It's just getting time for a new one.
Part # R8201 http://www.stockcarproducts.com/susp13a.htm

- Another good option, a little cheaper.

-Bottom line on a machine bit.

-The Snap on one (part R121) is actually a 7 degree reamer. It's also a cleanup reamer that is really meant to be used by hand to clean up tapers. It is the cheapest option, will last for a dozen + reams when used with a drill and a good cutting fluid, and is close enough to 7.12 to work fine (we are doing this by hand remember.)

For some reason it's marked wrong at a 1.90 currently... usually it's $46.

The snappy one gets shit reviews. Research it. The guys on pirate say it doesn't last

Dizzle, the chevy 1 ton TREs are like $10 a piece...cheapass I'll even buy some if you do cuz I need to redo my steering too
They are way more beef than any ford/dodge ones I bet too
