Honestly, smart thing to do would have been to leave child with his mom while he browsed the store and searched for the mother.

I think this is complete fucking bullshit stemming from a simple misunderstanding, don't get me wrong..... but no way in fucking hell would I grab a little kids hand and walk out of the store with them.
