I dont know about anyone else, but any jeep after 2001....i dont consider a jeep anymore. they discontinued the xj and the 4.0 I-6 and replaced it with the yuppy liberty 3.7 v6 and then came all the shitty v-8's and i beleive you can even get a hemi now. I was looking at the new jeeps today and the new liberty looks just like a squared off dodge nitro. and everything else is a low to the ground luxury soccer mom mobile. there is not one new model i would take offroad (except maybey the new wranglers....if ya droped an I-6 in it).
someone needs to tell them that they're making jeeps.....not chrysler suv's.
in conculsion
fuck the new jeeps

go old school

well shucky ding dong, i guess they didnt discontinue em at 01......but it's rare to see one.
and my xj doesnt break much, i've only had to replace the upstream 02 sensor (because it had 200,000 miles on it)

...... you are an idiot

I have a 2006 TJ. It has an I-6 in it. No drop-in required. Care to try again?

Perhaps you meant 2007, rather than 2001?

im sure the v8 runs nice, my parents just got a new grand cherokee with the 4.7 v8, but in terms of torque and a long life....it cant beat the I-6.
my friends just rolled over 500,000

i've towed many times with the i-6.
and everyone calls me to tow they're cars out of the ditches in the winter (and jeeps out of the mud)
but thats besides the point, jeeps a trail rated vehicle, not a tow rated vehicle
