Finally got around to solid axle swapping my s10 blazer. I ended up going with a HP44 up front and a D60 rear a bastard 231c transfercase with a SYE kit for the front output. Reused the shocks from the IFS set up. Also ended up running a high steer, front panhard bar and rear disc brake kit from ruffstuff. Installed a astrovan gear box and reused the original pitman arm however currently in search for a new one that has just a slight drop so the tie rod will clear the frame on full steer. Still a number of things to do like a front driveshaft, bumpstops and new rear leafs list goes on. Hope you guys enjoy this as much as I did working on it!

Real cool seeing another s10 blazer. I've done many different revisions of mine. Morphing into a full on beater wheeler. So if you got any questions, I could possibly help.
i do have a few questions actually im running a high steer draglink and im having trouble finding a pitman arm that has just the slightest drop in order for the tie rod end to not contact the frame on full steer.

Unfortunately that was done before i bought it. So not sure what arm was used. It had a good amount of drop. Member BLZR on here originally built it. Maybe he has pics in a build thread.

Hello there,

Just went through the opposite on my jeep. A yj arm has a 1.5 inch drop (~5.5 hole to hole) and it was contacting my steering arm in front of the axle at full bump. I just received a 2000 chevy van arm that actually has a 1 inch raise.

So, maybe a yj arm could work for you?

I'm actually running a Astro van gear box with the oem arm that I reamed out to fit the gm TRE. Thank you very much for the input. Ill have to stop by a junk yard once weather permits and snag an arm off a yj and see if itll work!

Currently living in Croton Hardy dam area. Muskegon is not a far hike at all.
Would mine be of any use to you with the end bored out to 3/4 inch?
I installed my 2000 van arm today and unfortunately it may not work. I had the steering arm above the yj arm, now the arm won't fit above the van arm, but doesn't give me much more clearance mounted under it. I may have to get an s10 arm? What year is a good year s10 arm? I'd want it to be flat.

Edit: After reviewing your information, I see you're running an astro arm. Maybe I need to try that next. 😆
