Need a 205 from behind a th400. Want one with a fixed rear yoke, not slip yoke. Doing a 203 205 doubler. Hoping to find 400 205 instead of machining a 350 205 to the bigger bearing and shaft. If its a good enough deal would be willing to drive decent distance to get.

northwest fabrication now makes doubler shafts for 10 and 27 spline 205s. check them out www.northwestfab.com
Yea noticed that the other day. Been looking alot into there adapter. I still need a 205 either way so figured if i can get the bigger input and bearing of the 400 that be nice, but if i cant then ill just go 27 spline route

Thread jack... With Rockwells you will not need the doubler setup. Find a TH400 NP 205 and do the LoMax 3-1 conversion, it will be more than enough gearing, you save driveline length, and the cost will be close to the same as a doubler. JB conversions has everything you need including low cost 1410 32 spline yolks. Don't bother with 10 or 27 spline parts, if you are serious about running rocks don't try to scab together a questionable t-case. If you need a second opinion talk with Tim Hull, he and I both run rocks and find that uber gearing is not necessary.

I will sniff around and see if I can find a case.

Tim

Yea i agree with you. Was bored at work the other day and did all the math and with my 700r4, stock 205 and rocks i had a low of about 40:1. With the 700, 203 205 and my 410s was like 50:1. Be plenty happy with the 40:1 and rocks just need a set. See what happens, either way gonna be needing a 205

O yea where did you guys get your rockwells from?

I don't know if your looking for one torn apart but i got an extra NP205 in my garage from a TH350. All i needed off of it was the adapter. It's a Slip Yoke rear style and the front input splines for tranny are starting get nasty. But if your gonna change it, it won't matter!! PM if your intersted, i have no need for it!

I got mine from Tim Hull, not a clue where he got them. There is a guy on here that sells them I'll see if I can dig him up. There is also a guy in Buckley that sells them for $1300 a pair. If your coming into Buckley from the north you will see 6x6's and parts on the right, drive up in there and they will give you his number. I had it at one time but lost it.

The guy on here is WildTime.
