Got a lot of the parts i wanted/needed today. I think there were some people making fun of me in their native tongues too.

Replacement: fuel rail for when i do injectors, tstat housing, e fan (discovered mine was seized), power steering pump (totally broke mine thursday night).

upgrades: overhead console, set of seats out of a classic model, heated mirrors, upgraded speakers, tweeter from the infiniy stereo model, and some misc stuff

That is a pretty serious “hell built for stout” front axle on your wheel barrow

junkyard wheelbarrows are no joke.

Got the engine bay put back together last night, and had the kiddo climbing around the jeep for a while before bedtime. Gonna be hard to get him out of the workshop when he's older. Oil change tonight then on to interior upgrades.

F*@&

Looks like the headgasket is weeping after commuting to work there and back. Couldn't see if I also have a freeze plug going out in the back of the head or something too? There was a drip on the concrete from around the bell housing area, and when I was climbing around with a flashlight last night I saw the wetness around the head on the passenger side...

Hasn't overheated on me at all, comes up to 190 and just holds steady...

Small victories.
Took a half day and got pretty much the rest of the durango stuff taken care of.
Decided to walk another yard near me and found a hen’s tooth. Foglight switch. Never find them in pick n pulls, stupid things go for $40-60 online. Five dollah no hollah makes more sense.

I couldnt see very well at night, decided to try out these chinesium headlights.

Also had a few instances where there was steering popping trying to turn left after turning right, so got that all tore down.

popped back in the junkyard to grab that extra teardrop rim, which ended up being bad, poked around for a few small parts, grabbed an ashtray for some redesign potential and found some not broken air cleaner bolts. No luck on the center console bracket to redesign.

Working on an upgraded tweeter pod in the meantime too, using a kicker 3/4” tweeter

also working on stainless console latches. Went a little too thick on the first batch.

wondered why the washer pump wouldn’t work. figured that out pretty quick.

Got the steering all replaced and back together, got it within 1/8” toe right off the bat. Decided to swap out the aluminum box spacer while i was having good luck. Broke two bolts with way less force than it should have taken. Got the box in a good spot and managed to get the bolts out with a bit of heat. The aluminum spacer Pretty much disintegrated when i went to take it off.

Replaced the lug nuts with 1pc nuts after having the stupid chrome pop off.

Tore into the door panels and got speakers swapped, heated mirrors swapped over, and prepped for tweeters. Need to make a few adjustments. Also figured out the drivers door speaker isn’t working, guessing a botched stereo install from PO.

keeping an eye on the head gasket for now. Trying to decide which route to go to fix that this spring, and how far down the rabbit hole i wanna get.

Added some sound deadening, upgraded speakers, and added my tweeter design. New door clips make the door panel work great. Tossed in some weathertech floor mats and took it for a test ride. Seems to go down the road pretty good, steering wheel a fuzz off. Will fix that later this week. New cheapo headlights are fantastic, will be curious how they hold up.

they didn’t upload in order, but whatever. Had to stop and get some racecar stuff done for my buddy’s vintage mod, about wrapped up with that for now so took some time to fix up a rusty old hitch. Turns out they don’t make any flush style like this anymore, I’ll take that extra 3” of bumper cleaeance back.
Felt kinda dumb doing it, but i only have about $70 into it and a couple hours of work.

Havent had a chance to pull it back in. Bit of a scare last night with steadily dropping oil pressure on my drive home. Luckily appears to have just been the sensor slowly failing over the past 20 miles of my drive home and not the motor dying.

napa replacement is made in usa, was happy to see that.

Have some space to clear, just tore down a dozen dana 20s i had lying around to part out, and will get the jeep back in soon, planning on putting it under the knife shortly after the kiddo comes.

Due march 7

Kiddo was born on 3/14, momma and baby healthy

Been slowly picking away on some things. Got a rear axle secured, hope to have front secured next week. JCR frame stiffeners delivered

Been doing some interior design parts for the XJ. Wanted a spare fuse and relay holder, so made this magnet latching piece for the center console. Coin and gift/reward card holder for center console as well. Two Carling switch options for center console and overhead console. I will be using the OHC for a CB radio mount, just sitting on that one a bit in case I have any thoughts on how I want to change how it is mounted.

Hope to have the majority of my to-do list up to getting the jeep pulled in the first week of April for some major surgery.

Still a little torn on tire choices. Currently going between 33s, 10.5 in the Maxxis Razr MT, and 12.5 in the Cooper AT3 XLT and Mickey Thompson Baja Legend EXP. It will see more road miles to probably talk myself out of the MTs, but I like that I can get those in 10.5s.

Some pics since you heathens don't always like to read:
