Saw some great pictures and a few comments. Looked like folks had fun.

But I have not read anything about the Trophies that were supposed to handed out.

There were comments on a couple flops, at least one broken axle. Kyle busted out a window. Did`nt liv2mx bust a caliper ?

Did WR`s 6.0 beat Kelly's 350 in the drags ?

Just wondering as it seems there isn't much being talked about.

Those would be awards at the Pig Gig, not OSTC. They got rained out at OSTC from what I have heard and did not do awards.

Thanks for clearing that up.

What about the drag races ?

Thought I read about Stan, Kelly and a few others leaving on Saturday afternoon.

So did Deano do the drags ? Or was it too wet for the lights ?

It was a mud fest. Since a good share of the visitors were from the gig, I think most of them went back for food rather than stick around. Quite frankly, I don't blame them. I wasn't interested in it either. The hills were pretty tore up and I don't think anyone could have even dragged up the left side.

It just wasn't meant to be Saturday.

Regarding awards, there didn't seem to be much interest so we let it drop. It seems that at some events, the awards are a big deal, at others they aren't.

YA I wanted to win and even busted my ass to get back in time at 5 for the races and was bummed they were canceled and so my my friend as he was the only person I seen get up the left side after it was blown out so time or distance we would have ran it

Well if the event promotor decided to up and leave. Who can blame the people who did the same ?

Geez a little rain (ok a fair amount) of rain blew away months of planning, loads of interest and a group of folks that call them "HardKore" wheelers ?

Most folks have (had) enclosed cabins, heaters and windhield wipers. Yes you might get damp but if you used your head. Then you could of wheeled all day without even getting wet.

What if it had been in the 90`s with the sun beating down on you. Risk of sunburn would put you on the trailer ?

Rain IMHO is not an excuse. Somewhere I think there is a bigger story.

When I showed up around 4pm, WhiteRhino showed me around the park, there might have been about 10 other vehicles there, so doing anything structured would (to me) seem kinda worthless.

Understand the rain changing plans for sure. Have a feeling it will be next weekend before my Jeep stops dripping. Hard to get anyone excited with over 10 hours of steady rain.

Sure some who planned to attend did not due to the forecast of Noah's second coming. Setting up, tearing down, and driving home in the rain makes the idea of a short, local hop weekend less appealing I am sure.

I had a great time. My tent and sleeping bag is hanging up drying in the garage as we speak. I had the hard top on the Jeep and going on trail rides was the warmest/dryest i was all weekend long. :nana:

I'm serious though. I had a great time and the shower I took when I got home was probably the best I've had in recent memory.

YUP!!
Kelly made enough to buy a nice Pro Rock 60, and he gave me enough to buy an ARB repair kit for mine.
He's such a good friend.:thumb:

1 month, 1 week and 1 days since your last post......
Interesting how you come out of the wood work just to stir the pot. Don't mistake this for me defending CC because he doesn't need it, and I won't defend him even if I thought he was right about something (which has never happened BTW).

But how blatent can you be?

It was 92* and sunny here all weekend, sorry you'all got drownded...at the PG or OSTC. You'all should trade your rigs in for kayaks and canoes.
